Battle Gem Ponies: Fire Class Moves


     Battle Gem Ponies would be a snorefest if it weren't for the awesome moves your pony can learn! Whenever there isn't any new feature to report, expect to see blog posts like this that show off all the cool stuff in the game. Whether it be a set of items, attacks, or information about a town.

     Hopefully these will keep things interesting for you guys while I chip away at the game behind the scenes. To kick things off, we'll be covering Fire class moves. There's quite a few moves for some classes, so I'll be splitting larger posts into 2 equal parts.

Blast Burn

Class:  Fire  |  ---

  • The foe is razed by a huge fiery explosion. The user must recharge on the next turn.
Blazing Blitz

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 9   | POW: 120  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user ignites and slams into the foe, possibly burning it and causing recoil damage.
Burning Horn

Class:  Fire  |  Magic
|  GP: 9   | POW: 65  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user ignites its horn with magic before jabbing it at the foe. It may leave a burn.
Burning Saber

Class:  Fire  |  Steel
|  GP: 15   | POW: 60  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user slashes the foe with an edge set on fire.
Burnout

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 3   | POW: 130  |  ACC: 90  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • The user overheats itself and explodes, sharply lowering its energy attack stat.
Ember Tornado

Class:  Fire  |  Air
|  GP: 9   | POW: 35  |  ACC: 85  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • Creates a spiral of fire that traps the target for 2 to 5 turns.
Eruption

Class:  Fire  |  Earth
|  GP: 3   | POW: 150 * (current HP/max HP)  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • Attacks the opponent with explosive fury. Its power lowers with the user's health.
Fire Blast

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 3   | POW: 110  |  ACC: 85  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • The target gets incinerated by an intense blast of fire. This may leave the foe burned.
Fire Fang

Class:  Fire  |  Dark
|  GP: 9   | POW: 65  |  ACC: 95  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user bites with flame-cloaked fangs. It may leave the target burned or staggered.
Fireball

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 15   | POW: 40  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • A speeding ball of flames is hurled at the foe. This move always goes first.
Flame Charge

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 50  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user cloaks itself in flames then rockets to the foe. This raises the user's speed.
Flame Wing

Class:  Fire  |  Air
|  GP: 12   | POW: 50  |  ACC: 90  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user flies past the foe to cut with red-hot wings, striking before the foe can react.
Flamethrower

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 9   | POW: 90  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • The target is scorched by an intense stream of fire and may suffer a burn.
Flare Kick

Class:  Fire  |  Ki
|  GP: 15   | POW: 60  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The opponent takes two fiery hooves to the face. This move can leave a burn.
Inferno Tomb

Class:  Fire  |  Ghost
|  GP: 3   | POW: 100  |  ACC: 50  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • The opposing pony is engulfed in an intense ghostly fire and burned.
Magma Armor

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 0  |  ACC: --  |  HIT: Status  |
  • The user coats its body with boiling lava that damages contact attackers for 2 turns.
Meteor Mash

Class:  Fire  |  Chaos
|  GP: 6   | POW: 100  |  ACC: 85  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • Fiery comets plummet and smash into the opponent. The commotion wakes sleepers.
Pyroblast

Class:  Fire  |  ---
|  GP: 9   | POW: 60  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • Spews searing flames that can destroy consumable held items.
Searing Metal

Class:  Fire  |  Steel
|  GP: 12   | POW: 0  |  ACC: --  |  HIT: Status  |
  • The user heats up to extreme temperatures for 3 turns and burns contact attackers.
Singe Shot

Class:  Fire  |  Earth
|  GP: 12   | POW: 30  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • The user spews out a fiery rock that is likely to leave a burn.

       And that concludes the fiery attacks you'll be able to use in Battle Gem Ponies. All organized in alphabetical order. Most of them were straightforward attacks, but a few status move examples were present as well. Hope this starts putting battle ideas in your head the way writing it all out did for me.

     Next up will be the flourishing Aqua class moves! These were only 20 of the 360 moves planned for the game. The class move posts will be alternating with item description posts for variety's sake. That gives me at least 36 weeks worth of backup content for when there's nothing major to announce. That allows me more time for development and also lets me look over each move an item once again to make minor adjustments and get feedback from your comments!
