Battle Gem Ponies: Surge Class Moves


     I've always thought mastery over electricity was one of the coolest powers anyone could have. InFamous played a big part in confirming that. How can I translate the many, many ways there are to visually represent electric class moves? I've got a few ideas to jot down.

Bolt Buck

Class:  Surge | ---

  • The user forms a static cloud and kicks electricity out of it toward the opponent.
Discharge

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 60  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • A flare of electricity is released to harm the opponent. It may also cause paralysis.
Electro Wave

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 0  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Status  |
  • A weak jolt of electricity paralyzes the target. It travels fast, always hitting first.
Power Amp

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 0  |  ACC: --  |  HIT: Status  |
  • Boosts the power of the Surge move used next turn while raising energy defense.
Quick Shock

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 18   | POW: 40  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • An electric jolt inflicts damage and may cause paralysis. This move always goes first.
Scatter Bomb

Class:  Surge | Fire
|  GP: 6   | POW: 25  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • Tiny shock bombs are scattered at the foe's feet, triggering 2 to 5 explosions.
Shock Ball

Class:  Surge | ---

  • The user throws a speeding electric orb at the foe. Its stronger against slower targets.
Shock Fang

Class:  Surge | Dark

  • The user bites with electrified fangs. It may leave the target paralyzed or staggered.
Spark Dash

Class:  Surge | Light

  • The user shines brightly and quickly charges the foe, always hitting first.
Surge Strike

Class:  Surge | Ki

  • The user generates a cloak of electricity and smashes into its target head-first.
Thunderbolt

  • An electric blast is launched at the foe. It may cause paralysis.
Volt Rush

Class:  Surge | ---

  • A devastating electrified tackle that hurts the user but may leave the foe paralyzed.
Volt Spear

Class:  Surge | Ki
|  GP: 6  | POW: 60  |  ACC: 100  |  HIT: Contact  |
  • The user electrifies it's horn before delivering a forceful jab that may cause paralysis.
Wire Whip

Class:  Surge | ---

  • The user whips the foe with sparking electrical wires. Has a high critical chance.
Wonderbolt

Class:  Surge | ---

  • A wicked thunderbolt crashes down on the target and may leave it paralyzed.
Zap Arrow

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 12   | POW: 60  |  ACC: --  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • A jolt of electricity chases the foe to inflict damage. It never misses the target.
Zap Cannon

Class:  Surge | ---
|  GP: 3   | POW: 120  |  ACC: 50  |  HIT: Energy  |
  • A powerful but inaccurate electric blast that is certain to paralyze the target.


       Now there's the matter of drawing all these. I want them to feel distinct and not all just variants of yellow sparks flying around the caster and target. Some should have a crackling effect, some should be blue, some should smoke, and others yet should be shimmering light.
