Players quickly let us know about some brutal bugs that snuck their way into release. But now we've SQUASHED the biggest ones and still have the rest already on our radar.

Day One Patch [1.0.1] is releasing with the following:

It's crazy to think about, but we launched version 1.0.0 with literally exactly 100 known bugs. All deemed "not game-breaking" and safe enough to launch with. Most are things like "this sprite isn't aligned exactly right" or "this move doesn't trigger its rare context sensitive side effect". A bunch of stuff few people would notice and not worth delaying another week for.
But we intend to clear them all out before moving onto development of the next chapter. All future DLCs need to be built over a solid foundation because they'll all be reusing & remixing existing systems and mechanics. This may end up delaying the next part until December or early 2025...
But the important thing is, people are having fun! Everyone (who isn't being halted by the now fixed horrible bugs or having their files erased because of an iOS early access error) is really enjoying the game.
Every small touch and easter egg that took so much time to get right is paying off in smiles, laughter, and surprise. It's incredible watching streamers react to it all for the first time.
And sales wise, we'll probably have no idea until the first check and detailed sales report comes in next month. But for now, we have social media notifications blowing up like never before and we can see the iOS build rocketing up the charts from number 103 in the RPG category just yesterday, up to number 12 overnight!
So we'll wait n' see how this turns out sales wise. And focus all our energy right now towards making sure no more giant bugs are lurking where players can see them, making any and all balance tweaks we can to improve the player experience, and doing all we can to spread the word about Battle Gem Ponies finally being out for real.
We can't thank backers enough for the years of patience, priceless hours of early playtesting, and believing in a smalltime team with a bigtime idea. But hopefully this final product is love letter enough.
