The Battle Gem Ponies Combat Demo is Here!!

 

If you aren't incredibly hyped right now, you really should be. This is a monumental occasion after all! After YEARS of behind-the-scenes struggle, TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars drained from life savings, MONTHS of delays, and an incomprehensible amount of time sitting in front of computers yelling "WHHHYYYYY"... Yotes Games is proud to present...

​Our first public upload in 3 or 4 years after starting this entire project over after tragically losing every project file for the 2017 build. Since then this game has gone from a solo-indie project to a team-powered labor of love and it's looking all the better for it! 

We truly cannot wait to hear what you think of this battle system we're creating. 

Go ahead and give it a try! 

(It's playable on Android, Windows, Mac, and even Linux)

Bugs are being noted as we march toward our Kickstarter in August. We'll be diving headfirst into remaking overworld gameplay for the next couple months, so your feedback on this half of the game will fuel us til then. Feel free to share BGP around with anyone you know that could be into this sorta thing. It's the start of something very fun over here...

Battle Gem Ponies (May DevLog): Demo Drop Date!

Ohhh, it's coming... FINALLY after months of delays, the Combat Demo is nearly complete! We're taking the next couple days to review the whole thing one last time, but we finally scrubbed it clean of all the terrible game-breaking bugs that would've made such a bad first impression. 

You'll be playing the new and improved Battle Gem Ponies within a week! So long as no nuclear disaster strikes central Florida within the next couple days, we should be able to keep that promise. Come bask in the pre-launch hype with us below the break! ~

Battle Gem Ponies (April DevLog): Bug Hunters 2021


This is it! The home stretch! We're basically in like, the Beta of our Pre-Alpha if that inception makes sense. The biggest mysteries and implementation challenges are behind us as far as the scope of this demo is concerned. All that's left is to fix an incredibly long list of minor & major bugs we've been taking note of this whole time and make sure 99% of this game works (and looks) exactly as intended.

Graphics. Pacing. Space-time Placing. All these things must be in near-perfect harmony before we put it out there to be judged enjoyed by the masses.

April Progress Report (Growth & Prep)

 

This past week we've welcomed a new member to the scrappy Yotes Games team! 

ConfidentCow will be helping us with graphic design work to take some things off the overwhelming plate that is making this game look nicer.

He's an old friend who's been at this professionally for a few years now, ready to take on something new and exciting in his spare time. A pandemic side-hustle!

@Confident_Cow's gonna help us make trailers, YouTube content, promotional artwork, capture game footage, make a press-friendly website, redesign interfaces, plan out interfaces we haven't made yet, and polish up the attack graphics starting in May once he's all set to pursue his streaming & game development dreams. So give him some love and wish him luck!
