Progress Report: First of 2026! 🆕📅

Okay. A few weeks into the new year now. And how are we doing? Well, not bad. But also not finished. We charted out a schedule for the new year without taking into account all the magical random distractions personal life can deliver and all the bugs of features past rising up to haunt us once more.

The game is gaining new features fast but we really need to take time to play with them thoroughly because each time we do we discover some gaping flaw that could ruin a player's experience (usually via a softlock or game crash). The end results of this three-day weekend of crazy effort are nothing to scoff at.

I can't believe how quickly the game is springing to life lately. It looks so good and feels so snappy and awesome to play! There's still a lot of polishing we need to do before calling it a "Beta Test Build" but we're really getting there exponentially faster.

BGP's Fall 2025 Progress Report 🐴🗞️

We're sitting with a minigame prototype and a trailer with all but the last few tricky cutscenes in place. And after missing last month's Monster Taming Direct deadline, we'll be able to instead tailor this trailer more to the fans who've been waiting forever for the Mane Adventure to kick off!

Thank you all so much. We really have come a long way since picking up the scraps of a corrupted and utterly destroyed Unity project back in 2020.

It's been a busy year and we haven't stopped working towards making the most incredible pony themed RPG the world has ever seen!

The game is really starting to look and feel like a full-scale RPG production now and we're excited to show it off as soon as we can.

Progress Report March 2025: Act 1 Incoming🎬

 

A New Progress Report has Appeared!

Q1 is already almost officially OVER!! And sadly, there's still no Act 1 Alpha demo yet...

However, big important tasks have been done like putting NPCs on every map with movement behaviors, battle teams, and placeholder dialogue. It's starting to look and feel like a real Adventure Mode now, but it's not really "a thing" until there's cutscenes tying it all together, ya know? And that'll take at least another month.

We're excited to say we've finally reached the year that BGP (and possibly it's DX Edition) will both finally be fully released! Complete with all 3 story Acts and everything!

And knowing that the newly announced Switch 2 is backwards compatible takes a lot of worries about porting difficulty away. We can't WAIT to get BGP DX running on that thing!

Another big bug fixing patch for Battle Gem Ponies has arrived!

This one finally addresses the biggest issue with the mobile build noted in many reviews. Those darn touch controls! You can now reposition, resize, and adjust the sensitivity of the virtual joystick to make overworld movement more comfortable. 📱

Battle Gem Ponies | Week One 🥳📅

It's been a week since launch and a new Week One Patch [1.0.3] is set to soon go live everywhere! (As of this post it's up on Windows already!)

And as for how sales are going? Amazing. Our best release yet, beating both of Unicorn Training's launches (2014 & 2024) by a mile. We've closed out Day 7 with 1000+ copies of BGP being played by folks out there! (And still ticking upwards by the hour ⬆️👀)

That's just over a thousand people across Mobile App Stores and PC's Itch.io after being in the Top 50 charts across the board for a few consecutive days.
